The Power of Love
Leaves are tumbling
through the sky
Swirled
by the invisible force
of power
Heavy rain
is washing away
the last traces of summer
soaking
the earth
into a muddy field of darkness
No mud no lotus
they say
Is it night? Or is it day?
I can't tell
Maybe
something in between
Maybe there is something
we have never seen
An invisible threshold
a crossing
into mystery
where hearts are calm
and souls are free
When darkness
seems to overpower
the light
Love is a candle
that flickers through the night
A simple smile
a hug
encouraging words
that we say
can easily brighten
someone's darkest day.

“There's no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothing.”
― Heinrich Simon
Dear Soul Friends,
Autumn season can be a challenge. When the darkness comes rushing in, we might feel called to retreat inwards. Yet the storm of change is also rattling on our door. We might be tempted to sit, curled up in a blanket, a warm tea in our hands, in front of the crackling fire, but after a while we will miss the connection to nature. Going outside when the heavy rain could soak our clothes seems to be a challenge for most of us. However, we are natural beings and thus our souls long for nature. In autumn, the call of nature is more subtle. Autumn’s call is not like the blazing sun that calls us to drop our clothes and dance under the stars. Its voice may be just a whisper of the wind. It may be the bediamonded glimmer of the raindrops on leaves that are dancing in the autumn breeze. It may be the silent joy of a shimmering chestnut. It may be a vibrant red leaf that catches our attention. There are still so many little wonders to see, even in the darker season.
I feel like autumn calls us to listen. When the eye struggles to see past the barren fields, the rotten leaves and the muddy paths, we can find beauty in the spiralling sounds of autumn. We can hear the rustling of the leaves, applauding our growth, cheering us on to keep going no matter how long and winding the road. We can hear birds busily chatting, searching for treasures and scattered seeds underneath the shelter of musty mushroom caps. The sound of our very own footsteps, rummaging through colourful leaves, reminds us to search and sort our wins, challenges, losses and hopes so that we can be prepared to dive into the shelter of winter.
Autumn is a magical season, entwining the contradiction of endings and beginnings in a beautiful web of change. Autumn bears oxymorons like no other season. We encounter grieving hope, fearful curiosity, subsiding surrender and shivering cosiness. No other season challenges us like autumn as it is ruthlessly holding up the mirror of our own progress, leaving us with a choice: embrace the pain or resist it. However we decide, pain will reside. Yet, if we flow with the winds of change, pain will leave quicker, without destroying as much, without leaving us heartbroken and immovable. We might feel like we have been stirred in autumn’s big bowl of spicy pumpkin soup, but we won’t feel burned and rather emerge lit up by the fire that burns inside our souls.
Poetry brings solace, nourishment and comfort when we invite her to the autumn feast. Through poetry, we can reflect gently on the challenges that autumn bears for us. While reading a poem, sitting with it or writing one ourselves, we connect with the voice of source which guides us home to the Love that we are. Poetry helps us to be compassionate with ourselves and others. Poetry leaves us breathless and gives us air. She holds space for us in conversation with others and, with her non-judgemental manner, asks us to encounter each other with curiosity, rather than with prejudice. Poetry wraps us in oneness while we explore our own uniqueness.
If you are struggling with the challenges of autumn, please feel free to reach out. I am taking on three new conversation partners for Co-Creative Conversations. Here we will chat in a relaxed atmosphere, just like we would sit in a café over a cup of coffee and ponder life’s big questions. As a creative person, I have lots of methods up my sleeve to help you create magic in your life. I believe that sometimes all we need is for someone to hold space for us in conversation. If we encounter a non-judgemental environment, we can safely explore the roadblocks and stories that we are telling ourselves that keep us stuck or going in circles. A mindful, calm and inspiring conversation can be the key that unlocks the door to transformation, and opens the circle into an expansive spiral. Head over to my website or reach out here to connect.
I also created a quick guide for you, that you can purchase on my website. Especially as recovering people-pleasers and sensitive souls, staying true to ourselves and embracing change can be a challenge.
Let’s flow through life with ease without feeling the need to please!

So pretty, Sadhbh! Autumn, candlelight, rain, darkness...all moody and lovely. Thank you for sharing this! XO
Beautiful poetry! A clash of challenge, and change indeed as autumn has arrived. A co-creative conversation is the poetry of transformation. That’s exactly what the world needs! Thank you for leading the way inside. 🙏❤️
